* 내국인 이용후기 (장점/단점)

 

 - 7층의 야외온천탕의 풍광은 일품이다.

 - 조식은 괜춘. 석식은 좀 그래...

 - 후라노, 비에이 7,8월 숙소 잡기 힘들어 간신히 여기로 잡았습니다. 교통편은 삿포로가 더 좋을지도 모르겠으나 도심 외각에 멋진 산으로 둘러싸인 곳이라 시내보다 여기 오길 잘했다 싶었습니다. 렌트카 고민했는데 아사히카와까지 셔틀이 있어서 기차 타고 여행해도 충분했습니다. 숙소는 조금 오래된 느낌이 있고 식사는 부페식인데 엄청 좋은 호텔부페는 아니지만 그래도 괜찮았습니다. 한국 패키지 팀도 있더군요. 식사 저녁은 자리없이 줄 설 수도 있습니다. 온천도 괜찮습니다. 이 가격에 이 정도 서비스면 대만족스럽고요. 한국분들 소운쿄 많이 오진 않으신데 쿠로다케 로프웨어 강추합니다. 한여름 눈산을 볼 수도 있네요.

 

* 외국인 이용후기

 - Location and Onsen good. Within walking distance to tram and shopping street. Staff can speak little English, have some difficulty to understand our needs.

 - The buffet is terrible. Especially for the buffet dinner. There is no selection for food. The room is not clean and old. and the condition is not good in the hot spring. I do not recommend to this Hotel to anyone. You want to try I don't mind you will feel just like dead!

 - Definitely this hotel is designated for large tour groups. The stay is not bad with average food (we stayed two nights and we got the exactly same buffet everyday - which is a bit disappointed). Onsen is nice.

 - Reception gave us a super small room while I booked the big western and Japanese style room. I told them to change room later.

 - Very nice hotel with good service, only setback was the air-conditioning which was centrally controlled duee to cozy weather, but it really made the room too warm and you can only choose to open the windows to have some circulations.

 - The furniture in the room was worn out, and there was even a huge stain on one of the chairs. There was no bathtub, only a shower stall in the room. On the plus side, the room was huge and they did provide some cookies in the room. We stayed for 2 nights and the dinner buffet for both nights were almost identical which was a little depressing. As the hotel was full, trying to get food from the buffet was a painful process. The staff we met at reception were cold and impersonal and did not even bother to get us porters to help us with our luggage or even to show us to the lift etc. They had lots of parking lots so parking was not an issue.

 - We stayed here on our last night of our Eastern Hokkaido trip. I have always wanted to visit Sounkyo but just couldn't fir it into our previous DIY holidays with JR Passes &buses. This time we used Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel Inc to customize a tour for us and I requested to add Sounkyo into our itinreary. We entrustd the selection of the hotels to our travel consultant and she picked Chotoyei. As our previous hotels are of good standards we have high expectations for Chotoyei. As it turned out, Choyotei is just a large tourist (mass tour groups) kind of hotel. We stayed in a Japanese Modern Twin room. The room has 2 beds and then a narrow tatami platform where 2 "legless" chairs are placed (to make it "Japanese style" I guess). So because of this configuration the large room became rather cramped. The window looks out to a nearby hotel block and then Mt Kurodake. Not much of a view I would say. Dinner was horrible to me! We want at 7pm and it was peak hour for the mass groups coming in. We were assigned to a tiny corner table. There were long queues at the buffet. Being pampered from the last few days of sumptuous food, I could only say that the food quality is found to be wanting! I couldn't make myself to pick up a piece of tuna sashimi from a plate that has its bottom covered with pink liquid!! As a saving grace, I had a good cuppa coffee at breakfast :) We want down late for breakfast, at 8:30 am and there were only a couple of tables occupied. Don't think we'll be back.
