* 내국인 이용후기 (장점/단점)
- 풍경 좋음 / 좁음.
* 외국인 이용후기
- Spacious, comfy bed, nice shower, big window with nice lake view. A lot parking space, easy to reach if you drive.
- It's an ok place to explore Lake Kussharo, Lake Mashu areas. There's a little garden in front of the hotel fronting the lake. Location is a bit of a drive, but u need to rent a car to get around anyway. There's nothing much nearby, we got sick of hotel buffets and chose to drive 20 mins to the nearest town for dinner. Room is a tad old. The onsen was ok. Good for a night, I wouldn't stay more.
- This hotel is next to laekd Kussharo. Our room is overlooking the lake, so the view is superb. The service is standard. (to be honest, Shirotoko Prince hotel staff are more friendly) Onsen is on the third floor. There is one indoor onsen and one outdoor. It is not so big compared to onsen in Shirotoko Prince hotel Kazanamiki. Also food was better in Shirotoko Prince hotel. (from foreigners' eyes) The hotel has facilities such as Karaoke, table tennis, game room, convenience store and souvenir shop.
- We had very good time to stay 2 nights at this hotel, great indoor n outdoor bath, great lake view. Very friendly staffs, we arrived about 1:30 PM, and they had no problems to let us checked in early!
- Hotel is big, clean and has very nice view of the lake. Only strange thing is that the onsen tax wasn't mentioned and 300 yen was collected, it is not a big amount but I don't understand why for the price we paid for one night, why this couldn't be mentioned upfront nor highlighted somewhere during the check in.
- This hotel in the middle of nowhere, far from any stores or restaurants. They seem to take full advantage of that by serving a very average dinner buffet at a very expensive price. The lakefront location isn't bad, but I can't really recommend staying here. Not worthy of the "Prince" brand.
- It's a good hotel to stay for a night after a long day drive. But there was nothing much outside. The buffet dinner was really good.
- We stayed here for a night as we worked our way south from Rausu on a ten day trip of Hokkaido. The hotel is huge and in many impersonal, with the staff lacking some of the charm of traditional Japanese hospitality. They are howevre helpful and efficient. The reception space may affect this as it is has no real warmth. Everything about this place is big with the dining room equipped to seat many people. The rooms are spacious and have wonderful views out over the lake, we arrived on a grey rainy day but awoke to a dusting of snow on the mountains backing the lake, with one of the first falls for the season. We used the onsen which again was large and very well equipped but lacked the natural charm of other places we visited. We had the buffet breakfast and dinner during the stay and found that the range and variety of food was excellent. Because of the size of the room it did not seem crowded despite coach groups etc but I imagine it could be a bit of a crush during peak season. I was particularly impressed with the gentleman who had soft serve ice-cream on corn flakes for breakfast, not nearly as healthy as natto but what the hell, he was on holiday. All in all it is a large hotel that whilst somewhat impersonal is well run and efficient and is a good base in that area of Hokkaido.
- This is a good base for exploring Lake Kussharo and Masshu, with a fabulous view of the caldera lake from your room. Unfortunately it's somewhat spoiled by the officiousness of the place. There are so many rules, explained in massive detail during an unnecessarily compicated check in process. There are signs everywhere telling you what NOT to do. The onsen is small and has a view of the back of part of the hotel. What a wasted opportunity. It was also not very hot 2 out of the 4 times I used it, rather missing the point. In room amenities were mean and the bed uncomfortable. Breakfast and dinner are in a colossal echoing hall which reminded me of a school gym. It's noisy and busy and utterly charmless. And the food is frankly mediocre for Japan which is most unusual. The place is clearly geared up to the mass market bus tour crowd and it shows. Others have commented on the unfriendly staff. I just think they don't like working there. This is not the real Japan. Easily the worst hotel on this trip for me.
- What a dream of a hotel. A wonderful welcome, fabulous room with a view to die for. A panoramic view of Lake Kussharo in all it's splendour, with a backdrop of snowclad mountains. Bar area beautifully appointed, but sadly the menu was not up to the standard of the bar, whilst the restaurant was a little expensive. Breakfast menu could not be faulted, and the surroundings of the restaurant are magnificent. Moving on to the hotel staff, they were most courteous and well mannered. All in all a magnificent place to rest and recuperate.
